Ayesha D'Mello
My name is Ayesha D'Mello, wife and mother of two children. I am passionate about healthy home style Indian cooking and more importantly teaching others how to cook and helping them make the right choices with food.
I was born and raised in India where I learned traditional home cooking from different regions of India and from the very best.
After earning undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Computer Science and an MBA, I took the path of a corporate career with Silicon Valley software companies. Following one's dream is easier said than done, until in early 2007 I sensed an undeniable passion to share my knowledge of the exotic magical flavors of centuries old cuisines of India and enthusiastic to inspire with my gastronomic delights. Having cradled Ayesha's Kitchen from a hobby to a boutique culinary school, I am passionate about sharing my journey with enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.
My classes and recipes reflect my philosophy to cook quick, easy, delicious and healthy Indian meals that anyone can learn and cook in their own kitchen with locally available spices. I take the most difficult and complicated dishes and create ones that are quick and easy to prepare.
The most fulfilling part of teaching Indian Cooking is when those that have taken my classes tell me that their friends and family have enjoyed their Indian cooking
