In this simple project, we do a step by step guided method to create a quick and easy woods inspired painting using acrylics. Even though it sounds unbelievable, yes, it’s true that by the end of this session you will have your own sunflower inspired painting created with your own hands to adorn your living room.

The beauty of working with acrylics is that they are relatively inexpensive and easy to work with but can provide amazing results in the hands of a creative artist. Unlike oils, you can continue to paint over the dried areas and not see any mistakes, hence it is a very appealing medium for beginners. The advantages of working with acrylics versus other media types are that they are fast-drying, easy to clean up, have low odor, and are heavily pigmented, meaning the colors can be very bold and vibrant.

It is just a myth that Artists are born skilled, and like any other skill, art can be learned too. We will help you bring out the artist in you !!!

Materials you need

• Drawing pencil, eraser
• Canvas board/ Canvas size 10 by 12 inches.
• Scale preferably 30cms.
• Acrylic paints
• Round brush and flat brushes.
• Water glass for washing the brush
• Old Rag or Paper napkins.

About the Artist

I'm Poonam Wankhede aka Natasha based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra...like every other Indian I went through this education process, and like every parent wants their child to be wise I got qualified as an Engineer.
But art was always my calling, I tried another field after my marriage and kids...fashion designing. I qualified as a Fashion Stylist from Nift ...I don't think that you got to be learning the art to be an artist.
I believe that everyone can be an artist.
You just need to have a passion for art and take time to shape it. My message to everyone if you don't get it right the first time...just toss it in the trash bin and then try once again 😊.
